About

For the time being, this blog is a platform from which to live a life observed. Maybe someday I’ll zero in on a more “brandable” focus, but for now, you know, whatever.

I’m a graduate of Whitworth University (2013), and even though all I’ve ever really wanted was to have a stable and cozy life like a Hobbit, my life has so far been more like a satire of the average millennial resume: post-college service year, barista, mountain guide, aspirations for grad school, and now aspiring pilot, with writing sprinkled all throughout. The only thing keeping me from being a walking cliche is that I haven’t backpacked through Europe. Thank God.

I love Jesus, and believe that God is at work in the world. I believe we’re invited into that work, that our individual stories are an opportunity to bear witness to the Christ story. I also believe that our world is one of complexity and nuance, and I love to explore the grey areas.

I like books, dogs, some cats, personality inventories, and a good beer.
